Ammolite
Ammolite is one of the world’s rarest gems. It comes in the full spectrum of colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The quickly depleting world supply of Ammolite makes it a unique and memorable purchase. Ammolite is known as Alberta’s Gemstone.
Ammolite’s iridescent colours glow with the beauty of a rainbow. Millions of years of tectonic pressure created this beautiful gem from the fossilized remains of the ammonite shell. A glittering addition to any jewelry collection, Ammolite’s luminous qualities rival the famous black opal for colours and fire.
Each Ammolite gem is unique in brilliance, colours and pattern. The rarest and most desirable Ammolite shows three or more colours and is graded AA.
Ammolite, like all gem stones, should be treated gently: not soaked in water, not exposed to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, cleaned only with a soft cloth.
We offer some of the best in ammolite jewellery, including pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings and more. We have a large selection of

free-form unset Ammolite gems, as well as the rare two-sided Imperials. We also carry a large inventory of free-standing art pieces and full ammonite fossils. You’ll find possibly the largest collection of Ammolite and ammonites under one roof when you visit our factory and gallery.
Since 1987, owner Richard Morgan has personally gathered the precious stones, which are recovered by open pit mining. Come visit “The Factory” to take a tour and learn about the mining and manufacturing process.
